A Healing Testimony

A Healing Testimony

The Old is Gone, The New Has Come

About 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with arthritis in my lower back.  I have dealt with some pain over the years.  In the last several months it has gotten progressively worse.  It was getting hard to do a lot of things without pain, even sitting.

A sermon preached at my church a few weeks ago contained this scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:17, which says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

When I heard this, I received a revelation from the Lord. The old things is not just a reference to our old nature, but every work of the enemy in our lives, including this pain and arthritis.  I don’t have to live with this because old things have passed away because of what Jesus did on the cross.  His broken body and shed blood secured this healing for me.  Jesus’ intent is for us to live our lives in the new. In that moment I felt something in my body and all my back pain was gone.

My pastor asked me if I wanted to share this testimony the next Sunday and I wasn’t sure.  But in the wee hours of Sunday morning the Lord said I was to share this and weave it into our communion time, taking of the elements of the body and blood of Jesus because what I had received was because of what his son did on the cross.

These are some of the things the Lord showed me.

1 John 3:8b For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus took care of ALL the old things on the cross.  No more sin, death, sickness, disease or lack.  All these old things put upon him and crucified with him.  When Jesus was raised from the grave these things were not.

When Easter Sunday comes or whenever you participate in communion remember:

When Jesus was beaten his flesh was torn, broken and his blood was shed.  The old is gone, the new has come. Mark 15:15 Wishing to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas for them, and after having Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified.

When the crown of thorns was placed on Jesus’ head his flesh was torn, broken and his blood was shed.  The old is gone, the new has come. John 19:2 And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and put a purple robe on Him.

When the soldier pierced Jesus’ side his flesh was torn, broken and his blood was shed.  The old is gone, the new has come.  John 19:33-34 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out.

All things are become new. Hebrews 10:20 calls it a new and living way into the abundant life bought by the flesh and blood of Jesus.

In John 10:10 Jesus says “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Let’s raise a hallelujah!

Matthew 8:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick…

    Thanks for your testimony. 😀

I am grateful for the revelation, we no longer have to live with the effects of the devil, because the old is gone and the new has come. The knowledge of all Jesus Christ did for us on the cross is life changing. He truly came to give us the abundant life. Praise God!
